Above all other team games, Cricket has a hard earned and jealously protected reputation for being played, win or lose, within the boundaries of "fair play" showing sportsmanship towards opponents and team mates.

What's New!
Welcome to the revamped website of Pontarddulais Cricket Club. If you wish to put an advert on the website then please contact Ben Roberts Dear Member,
What a fantastic achievement. Following the disappointment of being relegated in 2005, we bounced back in 2006 and due to the grit and determination of the players landed the First Division Championship and the Dan Radcliffe Trophy in 2007.
The Secon XI also played their part by finising Runners-Up to Swansea in their competition, some fine individual performances contributing to the success.
The Third XI finished mid-table with the Junior Teams having an average season in their various competitions.
In general, the Club is doing well thanks to the Committee, Janet and her Bar Staff, Groundsmen, Ladies and Entertainments Sections, along with the continuing success of the Tesco voucher scheme.
A special mention must be made to our match and advertising sponsors who help keep cricket alive in Pontarddulais.
This season we have lost the services of Andrew Davies but have James Harris when he is available from his Glamorgan duties - opportunities here for our up-and-coming young players!
We have an attractive fixture agenda for the coming season involving not only our club teams but also Glamorgan Second XI, Wales Minor Counties, Wales Under 13's, Junior League Finals and the Under 12's competition for you, the supporters of the club, whom we thank for your loyalty and support.
Enjoy the Season/
Yours in sport, Matthew J. Davies Honorary Secretary |
